Starbucks Quenches Halloween Thirsts

By now, most of us are familiar with the Starbucks seasonal favorite: the Pumpkin Spice Latte (#PSL, as it’s known on social media). Since its introduction in 2003, the coffee house favorite has become a seasonal staple and has made its way onto everyone’s autumnal bucket list. The pumpkin spice latte is a combination of steamed milk and espresso blended with autumn spices (clove, nutmeg, ginger and cinnamon). Topped with whipped cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice, it’s a perfect compliment to any fall day. This year’s version is said to raise the bar even higher. PSL 2015 will no longer contain caramel coloring and will be flavored with real pumpkin (Starbucks).

Last year Starbucks took its appreciation of Halloween to another level, introducing the Franken Frappuccino. This concoction combines a green tea frappuccino, peppermint flavor, java chips, and mocha syrup. I didn’t get a chance to try it out last year, but I admire their celebration of all things Halloween.
