A peek at the Michaels Halloween 2018 collection… with a tip to save you money!
We’re deep into summer, and it’s SO hot!
The triple-digit temperatures are enough to wilt any hope of Halloween spirit…
Never fear!
Being this far into the summer season only means we’re that much closer to Halloween 2018!
In a few short weeks, we’ll be surrounded by the tropes of the season we all know and love best, and luckily, many stores are already rolling out their collections for Halloween 2018.
While some retailers are wasting precious floor space with garish and depressing “Back-To-School” displays, some stores know the way to kick off the season in style.
Grab your shopping bag, and crank that Halloween playlist…
Today, we’re shopping the Halloween 2018 collection at Michaels!
TIP: Before you head to the store, check online for coupons. Frequent Michaels shoppers know the savings are REAL. We were able to get one “40% one item” coupon as well as a “$5 off your purchase” coupon. We also received another coupon on our receipt.
Easing in with the autumnal decor…
Digging the softer, more pastel color palette for some of the fall items…
I love when they make a Mr. and Mrs. version. That scarecrow couple above is totally us.
Now we’re getting into the good stuff…
Last year, we freshened up our crafting skills and created our own wreath. Would love to make another one this year with some of the wreath items above.
“Boo-Ya”! Because the spirit of the ’90s is alive and well.
It’d be so easy to blow the entire Halloween budget to get the complete collection of these “yoga skeletons”. They’d be on every open surface in our house.
We picked up the “Till Death Do Us Part” skeleton couple to add to our collection.
TIP: Walk the entire store if the first Halloween section you visit seems bare. We thought the Halloween items would all be together in one section, but our Michaels had it sprinkled throughout. The Spooky Town display was on the right side of the store, the autumnal decor was in the front center, Halloween craft supplies and pet costumes were in the back, and there were two sections of Halloween items on the left side of the store.
Halloween wouldn’t be complete without a big ol’ dose of glitter.
Hitting the nostalgia factor with these vintage-inspired pumpkins, witches, and black cats. Vintage Halloween decor has so much charm.
Of course, we had to buy the “Magical Black Cats” sign.
Tell me there’s not judgement on all those witches’ faces. “You’re buying MORE Halloween decorations?” You don’t know my life.
This gothic romance theme is really beautiful too. Black, dark rose, and gold is a new Halloween color palette we can get on board with.
Last stop, Spooky Town!
Shrink us down now, so we can live inside this magical, haunted little world.
