When I was a kid and my passion for movies was just starting to blossom, I was obsessed with collecting movie memorabilia.
My budget was small- I was 7- but I’d beg my dad take me to comic book shops, Spencer’s at the mall, and Media Play every weekend.
Remember Media Play?! They sold books, CDs, movies, memorabilia, games, toys… that place was my JAM!
I was- and still am- fascinated and constantly on the search for new horror toys.
There’s something wonderful about a company manufacturing toys traditionally meant for children based on movies made for adults. A mini adorable Leatherface? Yes, please!
Evidence that we never truly have to “grow up” and can still treat ourselves to toys even as horror-loving adults.
Below are 5 horror toys we’re dying to own!
Good Guy doll from Trick or Treat Studios
I looked high and low for a Good Guy doll when I was a kid, asking store clerks and scouring the listings on eBay for Chucky minus the Bride of Chucky scars or maniac killer facial expression.
Unless you wanted to shell out thousands of dollars for a screen-used prop or collector’s replica, finding a Good Guy doll was impossible… until Trick or Treat Studios launched their Kickstarter campaign to manufacture one.
When I heard the news that we’d finally get a Good Guy, I was already reaching for my wallet. Then I saw the price… $500 + $35 shipping. And just like that, my lifelong dream of owning a Good Guy doll was put on hold again.
To be clear, I’m not knocking the company for the high price at all. I’m just happy someone had the idea, and it’s being made. The cost of production is probably quite high, the doll looks perfect, and 1,323 other horror fans have backed the project.
But, unfortunately, I’m not at the financial level in life yet to drop more than half a grand on a doll. One day, it’ll happen… but until then, I’ll have to wait to get my own ‘friend to the end’.
Horror Icon Living Dead Dolls
Mezco Toys is creating the cutest versions of some of our favorite horror icons with their recent Living Dead Dolls Presents additions.
Not only do we get an adorable Michael Myers, but horror fans can also look forward to a talking Freddy Krueger from A Nightmare on Elm Street and The Nun from The Conjuring 2.
Neca’s Ultimate Pennywise Action Figure
Who doesn’t want to bring a mini Pennywise the Dancing Clown into their home? Now, thanks to Neca, you can. Whether you loved the Pennywise from the remake or will only accept Pennywise as portrayed by Tim Curry, there’s a little Pennywise to suit your fancy.
Trick ‘r Treat Sam Mega Scale Figure
There aren’t many killer icons more adorable than Sam from Trick ‘r Treat, and Mezco Toys released a 15” version of the pint-sized monster to add to your collection last fall.
This little dude decked out in his orange PJs comes with his trademark lollipop, signature sack, and a removable mask.
He’s sold out on the Mezco website, but you can still find him HERE.
Leatherface Dorbz Vinyl Figure
When you think of the lumbering, chainsaw-wielding Leatherface, adorable isn’t the first adjective that comes to mind.
Funko’s Dorbz has turned some of our favorite horror characters into lovable mini figures complete with mischievous smiles. You can bring home your own little Leatherface, Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, Chucky, Pinhead, and Pennywise.
Those are just a few of the horror toys we’d like to add to our collection.

I love Sam! What’s more adorable than a toddler in footy pjs? A little monster in ORANGE pjs AND a pumpkin sucker that can be used as a weapon! Yaasss
When we rewatched Trick ‘r Treat last Halloween, we said, “Man, we’ve totally been sleeping on Sam! He’s the cutest little dude!” Then we set out to add a little more Sam into our horror collection. Got a little print at a horror convention but would LOVE to own the little guy mentioned in the post. We’ll have to be on the lookout!
