Halfway to Halloween has passed, and we’re officially counting down the days until Halloween 2017.
Despite the warm weather, there’s plenty of Halloween and horror news to keep us inspired as we prepare for the season ahead.

Twin Peaks
We return to Twin Peaks with 18 episodes directed by Lynch himself. The limited series premieres on Showtime May 21st at 9pm.
Scream, Season 3
When Scream returns for its third season on MTV, audiences should prepare for major changes. The show is getting a major reboot with a new cast and new creative team. Queen Latifah, Shakim Compere, and Yaneley Arty will serve as executive producers with their production company Flavor Unit Entertainment. Brett Matthews (The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural) will take over as showrunner for a shortened, 6 episode third season.
American Horror Story, Season 7
Teases for season 7 of AHS have started, and we’ll be eagerly waiting to see what the next installment has in store.

The cast, so far, will include AHS alum and fan favorites Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters. New members of the cast include Billy Eichner and Billie Lourd.
Murphy let fans know that the 7th season will begin on election night and that the plot will be an allegory inspired by the 2016 election. He also revealed that though the new season will take place in the present day, there will be a connection to season 4’s Freak Show.
Season 7 is set to premiere in September.

Midsummer Scream
The creative team behind Midsummer Scream has already started announcing details for the 2017 Halloween and horror convention in Long Beach, CA.
This year’s Midsummer Scream will take place on July 29th and 30th, so get your tickets now!
Horror
If you’re in London May 23rd-June 10th, be sure to check out the staged production of Horror presented by the Jakop Ahlbom Company at the Peacock Theatre. The production is a loving homage to the horror genre and is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat.
Ween Halloween Show
Alt. rock band, Ween, announced they’ll reunite for their first Halloween performance since 2011 at The Bomb Factory in Dallas.
Tickets are on sale now! Here’s hoping they play “Voodoo Lady”!
Halloween Horror Nights
Universal Studios Florida has already announced details for Halloween Horror Nights 27. The event begins on September 15th and runs select nights until November 4th.
More details will come throughout the summer, but it’s been revealed that American Horror Story will return. This year’s AHS maze is said to include Asylum, Coven, and Roanoke.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
Tickets have gone on sale for 2017’s Halloween celebration at Disney World Resort. This year will bring the return of the “Boo-To-You” parade and the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular. Click here to get your tickets!
